The AUA is offering an excellent series of research events for the 2020 AUA Annual Meeting beginning on Friday, May16.
The AUA will continue to hold its highly-successful Urologic Oncology Research Symposium, Basic Sciences Symposium, and Challenges for Urologic Research Series events, all of which will be half-day symposia. This year's Urologic Oncology Research Symposium will focus on "Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors: Impact of Macro and Microenvironment on Efficacy." Topics such as tissue engineering, nanotechnology, and optogenetics will be the focus of the Basic Sciences Symposium, "Novel Technologies for Benign Urology Research." The Challenges for Urologic Research Series will cover topics in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics.
In addition, the AUA will also hold its two Research Forums, "Funding Opportunities and Grant Writing Guidance for Early-Career Investigators" and "Early-Career Investigators Showcase," which provide young investigators with robust learning and networking opportunities.
The AUA2020 plenary program will also include three talks featuring AUA and Urology Care Foundation research programs:
- "Highlights of Urologic Oncology Research"
- "Highlights of Benign Urologic Research"
- "Rising Stars in Urology Research Spotlight"
