Group Registration will Open January 2020!

If you are a travel agent or company registering 20 or more attendees, you can book your group through the AUA's Group Registration Portal. This self-management system puts group planning at your fingertips, allowing you to manage the details of your AUA2020 group. With this easy-to-use system, you can register your group, add courses and events, modify records, make payments and more.

The registration fee for AUA2020 includes the following:

  • Access to all plenary, poster, podium, forum and video sessions
  • Access to Specialty Society and International Society meetings
  • Entrance to the Science & Technology Hall
  • Use of the shuttle service between the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and official AUA Hotels (excludes hotels within walking distance)
  • Publications—Meeting Program, AUA Online Program Abstracts, AUA Daily News, Schedule-At-A-Glance and Daily Planner
  • AUA2020 Mobile App
  • Access to the two day Practice Management Program
  • Access to the two-day APP program, Urologic Care for the Advanced Practice Provider

AUA members are eligible to attend the Annual Meeting at a reduced rate. Learn about becoming a member to take advantage of this benefit. Membership applications must be submitted and completed by March 27, 2020.

Registration and attendance at or participation in AUA meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to AUA's use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee's image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes of such events and activities.

Active, Associate and Senior Member

  • Active – Urologists practicing in the U.S., Canada, Mexico or Central America who are Board-certified. Doctors of Osteopathy who complete an AOA-approved urology residency program and are certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery.
  • Associate – Requirements are the same as Active members except for the Board certification. Doctors of Osteopathy who complete an AOA-approved urology residency program and are certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery.
  • Senior – Must have 20 years as an Active member and retired or permanently disabled.




Honorary Member
Specially designated scientists who have achieved outstanding prominence in the field of medicine related to urology, Officers of the Association and/or distinguished urologists.




Resident/Fellow Member
Residents/fellows practicing and studying within the U.S., Canada, Mexico, or Central America, to include residents who are enrolled in an ACGME-accredited (or equivalent certifying Board for Urology) or AOA-approved urology residency training program, clinical Fellows enrolled in an accredited fellowship or post residency training program, and postdoctoral research fellows engaged in   biomedical research under a qualified mentor. (MD, DO, PHD).




International Member, Senior Member
Urologists practicing outside the U.S., Canada, Mexico or Central America who are actively practicing urology and are members of their national urological society.

  • Senior – Must have 20 years as an International member and retired or permanently disabled.




International Resident-in-Training Member
Residents enrolled in a urology residency training program outside of the U.S., Canada, Mexico, or Central America.




Allied and Advanced Practice Provider Member

  • Allied – Non-physician professionals, including nurses (RN, LPN, LVN), medical technicians and medical assistants concentrating in urology for at least one year.
  • Advanced Practice Provider – Physician assistants and advanced practice nurses (to include advanced practice registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and nurse specialists) concentrating in urology for at least one year.




Affiliate and Research Scientist Member

  • Affiliate – Non-urologist MDs or DOs who significantly contribute to urology through clinical practice.
  • Research Scientist – Independent investigators with PhDs or equivalent degrees, DVM, who have demonstrated achievements in the field of urology.




Medical/Graduate Student
Full-time medical students in an allopathic or osteopathic medical school or enrolled in an accredited graduate school program for the purpose of obtaining a PhD degree or equivalent and actively engaged in research under a qualified mentor.




Non-Member Categories

Non-Member Physician
Individuals who are licensed to practice medicine.




*Non-Member Allied or Advance Practice Provider, Members of the AUA Practice Managers' Network (Cannot be a practicing physician.)

  • Technicians, medical assistants, nurses (RN, LPN, LVN), practice managers, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses (to include advanced practice registered nurses, nurse practitioners and nurse specialists), interns, pharmacists and therapists. A copy of valid professional license from state certifying body is required.
  • Current non-physician members of the AUA Practice Managers' Network.




*Non-Member Research Scientist
Independent Investigators with PhD or equivalent degrees, seeking to advance progress in the field of urology. This category is not for physicians or employees of commercial companies. Proof of research is required.




*Non-Member Postdoctoral Fellow
Individuals with a PhD degree or equivalent actively engaged in biomedical research under a qualified mentor. Proof of post-doctoral status is required.




*Non-Member Resident/Fellow
Individuals with an MD degree or equivalent in a multi-year graduate medical education program. Including residency program and fellowship participants. Proof of residency is required.




*Non-Member Medical and Graduate Students
Individuals enrolled in a medical school for the purpose of obtaining an MD degree or equivalent. Individuals enrolled in an accredited graduate school program for the purpose of obtaining a PhD or equivalent, and actively engaged in research under a qualified mentor. Proof of enrollment is required.




*Corporate Representative
Full-time employees of companies without a product or service to exhibit, who are attending for educational purposes only. Business card is required for badge. This registration category is not for employees of a registered exhibiting company. Those registrations are handled by the appointed meeting contact from your company.




*Hospital Administrator, Practice Manager/Business Professional

  • Healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations.
  • Professionals who work in the business operations of a clinical practice/healthcare organization serving urology patients.
  • Does not include practicing physicians or corporate representatives.




*Allied/Advanced Practice Provider categories requires a copy of valid professional license from state certifying body. Medical and Graduate Students, Researchers, Residents-in-Training and Fellows will be required to submit a letter of qualification from the head of their department on official stationery. It must indicate your position and professional responsibilities. All documents must be submitted at the time of registration. Fax your documents to 410-689-3912.

Note: The AUA does not offer "Science & Technology Hall Access" badges or "One Day Only" passes for the Annual Meeting.

Annual Meeting Cancellation Policy

To cancel any part of your Annual Meeting registration (this includes registration for the Annual Meeting, course passes, and hands-on courses), you must submit a written request on or before April 6, 2020. Cancellation requests received by this date will be honored less a $100 administrative processing fee. No refunds will be honored on requests received on or after April 7, 2020. Please allow four to six weeks to process your refund. Anyone registering after April 7, 2020, and wishes to cancel will receive no refund on any part of their registration fees. Access to the Science and Technology Hall

In the interest of safety and injury prevention, anyone under 18 years of age (infants included) will not be permitted in the exhibit hall. Show Management reserves the right to require proof of age prior to admission to the Exhibition.

AUA Code of Conduct

Admission to all official AUA events will require a proper display of registration badges. Badges should be worn at all times and are nontransferable. False certification of individuals as paid AUA meeting attendees, misuse of badges, any method of assisting unauthorized persons to gain access to any annual meeting event, or inappropriate conduct, including but not limited to harassment, threatening physical or verbal actions, or disorderly or disruptive conduct, will not be tolerated and will be just cause for repossessing badges of any individuals involved. As a result, AUA reserves the right to expel all parties involved and has no obligation to refund.

  • The Group Administrator must schedule an appointment to pick up materials onsite as a group.
